CORONAVIRUS (COVID-19) INFORMATION: Call 219.769.4005 before entering one of our facilities or to receive more information; HOMEBUILDERS® is an evidence-based program designed to strengthen families to prevent unnecessary out-of-home placement or return children from foster care, group care, psychiatric hospitals, or correctional institutions. Families served by Regional Mental Health Center’s intensive, in-home, family therapy model have children in imminent risk of placement, or have children in placement whom cannot be reunified without intensive services. The presenting problems may include child abuse, neglect, family conflict, juvenile delinquency, and child or parental developmental disabilities and/or mental health problems. Youth eligible for the Diagnostic and Evaluation Program will be placed for up to 30 days to evaluate the needs of the youth and his/her family. Comprehensive diagnostic evaluations will incorporate: nursing assessments, psychiatric evaluations, educational assessment, bio-psychosocial assessment, and psychological testing, as deemed necessary. Our PRTF has room for 48 kids that range from 10-20 years of age.
