Habitat for Humanity of Northwest Indiana
There are many ways to support the mission of Habitat for Humanity of Northwest Indiana. Here are a few; Donor Advised Fund or DAF – contact your sponsor and advise them to make recurring gifts (monthly, annual, bi-annual etc.), a one-time gift or talk with us to create a plan for your investment. Recurring Gift – make a BIG impact all year long! Become a Hope Builder by setting up an automatic, monthly contribution here http://bit.ly/HopeBuilder9 Annual Gift – can be made online here http://bit.ly/Donate3777, or mailed in to; Habitat for Humanity of NW Indiana, 3777 Colfax Street, Gary, IN 46408 Matching Gift – You may be able to double or triple your donation! Check with your employer’s Human Resource department to see if your company offers a Matching Gift Program. If they do, complete and send your company’s matching gift form along with your donation. Home Donation – Habitat for Humanity of Northwest Indiana is always looking for home donations. Whether the home is in mint condition or in need of some TLC, we have the capacity to tear down, rebuild if need be, and sell it to a struggling, working family with a 0% mortgage. Land Donation – Habitat for Humanity of Northwest Indiana builds on donated lots. Whether your property is located in Lake County, Indiana or in the U.S., we will either build on the donated lot, or sell it and build with the proceeds generated from your donation. Material Donations – Habitat for Humanity of Northwest Indiana has 2 resale shops called ReStores. We sell new and gently used donated items such as building materials, doors, windows, appliances, furniture and home décor. We have diverted over 1.5 million pounds of what would have been landfill waste into our ReStores for resale. Check us out~Just because it’s used doesn’t mean it’s useless! Vehicle Donation – Cars for Homes™ (CFH) is the national vehicle donation program for Habitat for Humanity. Revenues from the sale of donated vehicles of any type (cars, boats, motorcycle etc.) in any condition! Lunch Donations – One way Habitat for Humanity of Northwest Indiana thanks our volunteers is to provide a healthy lunch, water and snacks throughout the build day. If you would like to donate lunch or gift cards to a restaurant, we are always looking to defray the cost of our builds.
